8 1/2” - This is a modern board with a slight modification from the mold used for the 8 1/4”. 8 1/2” wide, 14 3/8” wheelbase, 7 1/8” nose, and a 6 3/4” tail.
This mold has a tail surface that is symmetrical to the nose and a little bit less concave depth. Basically this mold is quite often the pros choice in my factory and is not used much for production.

Based on the OG New Deal Siamese deck from my archives, this deck was not symmetrical even though it made you think it might be. 9 5/8” wide, 14” wheelbase, 6 1/4” nose, and a 6 3/4” tail. For the relaunch of New Deal Skateboards and to inspire the next generation of skaters, I have reimagined the
Siamese board to be totally symmetrical in shape and mold. The goal is to get skaters the right sized board to progress with, that way their energy is spent on the tricks and not battling a board that’s too large and heavy.
For skaters under 4ft tall there is a 7 5/8” wide, 12” wheelbase, with a 6 3/8” nose and tail. These 7 plies are thinner and are 5% & 10% lighter in lamination alone not to mention shape.
The Siamese board was then looking forward in principle, and again today as switch is a normal part of skateboarding.

7 1/2” - This board is straight out of the mid '90s with a very shallow concave that I developed in 1993. 7 1/2” wide, 14” wheelbase, 6 3/4” nose, and a 6 3/8” tail. This board has the compact dimensions of many boards in that era with 2 fingers of flat from the bolt holes to the bends, with a low nose and short tail. These boards are 5% thicker like I built boards back then - so the stiffness matches the mold. I always have people ask me how they can get that '90s feeling board, so this one is for you.

Based on the heritage version of Steve Douglas’s original deck that was 9 3/4" wide, 14 1/2" wheelbase, 5 1/2" nose, and a 6 3/4" tail as a base, I reimagined this into a modern rider with these dimensions 9 1/8" wide, 14 5/8" wheelbase, 7" nose, and a 6 5/8" tail. The back of the board is like a 8 1/2" wide board with the front foot area being 9 1/8" wide. I gave the back of the tail a real nice round shape for a forgiving ollie contact point
I decided to place this board in the S4 concave that had been used by Schmitt Stix, and is the mold the first line of New Deal boards were produced in.
This mold has rocker in it like all of the Schmitt Stix boards did. So we have a blast from the past mixed with a modern shaped board.

Reimagined from the heritage version of Andy Howell’s deck that was 9 5/8” wide, 14” wheelbase, 6 1/4” nose, and a 6 7/8” tail. Andy wanted a popsicle shape with a bit of his original shape for his personal rider. I had to narrow and stretch it and preserve the look on the nose and rounded out the tail.
The modern Howell board is 8 5/8” wide, 14 1/2” wheelbase, 7 1/8” nose, and a 6 3/4” tail. This board is on a concave with mellow hips and an ample 2 fingers of flat for a gentle tipping point.
This board will satisfy someone who rides a popsicle or a shaped board, and might just have you surprised doing a manual down the block.
